Folk Family Wraps up Another Excellent Season
DURAND, Ill. -- Following a three week marathon tour in South Georgia and Florida, the Folk Race Cars stable has put the jacks down on another excellent race season as they retire to Durand, IL for the winter. The team, consisting of Ron Folk along his sons Brian and Nick have accounted for a pair of division championships, 4 national event wins, and numerous big dollar bracket titles in 2009 alone.
Family patriarch Ron “The General” Folk enjoyed success in limited action behind the wheel. Ron drove his dragster to a Quick Rod victory at the IHRA national event in Grand Bend, Ontario and earned a berth in IHRA’s Tournament of Champions runoff to be held next May.
