Chevrolet at The Los Angeles International Auto Show

DETROIT, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Chevrolet affirms its commitment to fuel solutions and building refined, eco-friendly vehicles with the debut of the U.S. production version of the Cruze sedan at the Los Angeles Auto Show, on Dec. 2. The Cruze, along with the much-anticipated Volt electric vehicle, will give visitors to the L.A. show a close-up view of Chevrolet's expanding lineup of gas-friendly to gas-free products.

"With expected highway fuel economy up to 40 miles per gallon, Cruze will be extremely gas friendly while the Volt electric vehicle can be operated gas-free," said Brent Dewar, vice president, Chevrolet. "Chevrolet's focus is on forward-looking technologies to the benefit of our customers, such as the highly efficient, small-displacement turbocharged engine in the Cruze or the Volt electric vehicle with extended range."

Edelbrock TVS Supercharger Kits for C6 and 2010 Camaro - New E ...

Last year Edelbrock released their first supercharger from their E-Force line for S197 Mustangs. The supercharger unit is still the proven Eaton 2.3-liter TVS twin screw roots blower. The air track is straight to the bottom of the blower screws, which then forces the compressed air up, channeling through intercooler and down into the combustion chamber through 12” long runners. According to Edelbrock, this roots kit is currently the only one on the market that will clear a stock C6 hood without modification. Also keeping with the OEM appearance, Edelbrock incorporates plastics and hoses that resemble a stock installation. The clean fitting kit will be available for the C6 by the end of the year and the 2010 Camaro in early 2010. The kit includes everything you need - from the heat exchanger, new injectors, air intake, tuner and intercooler pump. The Level 1 kit will bump your Corvette from 430 horsepower to 554 horsepower. For those who desire a higher producing kit, Edelbrock includes a smaller pulley and aftermarket fuel pump, adding another 45 horsepower over the Level 1 kit. Edelbrock is even seeking CARB approval to make this a 50 state legal kit. To compete with a lower priced head but still utilizing Edelbrock’s Made in the USA quality, they have released a new line of heads called the E-Street. They had previously released SBF and SBC applications, but now they have introduced a BBC application. The casting is their proven RPM line, but where the savings comes from is the economical valvetrain associated. This might be the perfect opportunity to get a good set of heads on your car now, and if you get more serious, you can always upgrade the valvetrain later.
