This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox I have an s40 GDI 2000 (B4184SM) and I was trying to read the fault codes using a reader based on eml327 chip. I read on the forum that different people were able to connect this kind of readers to their Volvo. I have borrowed a reader from a friend ( is an bluetooth reader with elm327) and I have tried during the last week to connect to my Volvo, with no success. The readear works well with my friend's car (VW passat 1998). ......although the scanner has that particular chip, elm327, i understand it will only read codes for a vehicle with OBD11, so that may be the reason it will not communicate as your GDI which has the same Melco 1 management system as my own GDI, B4184SM.....2001 on the B4184SJ GDI has the Melco 2.......i have no lights up, YET!!, so i have not had the need to delve further, but i do believe that due to them being "oldish models" for the then new way of reading errors in the engine system ,you...
