Not too much experience with actual racing in the previous answers (ie, top speed is pretty meaningless when there are very very few race tracks in the world where a GT car can get even as high as 150mph).
These two cars are actually pretty closely matched, with two defining differences: the Lotus is much better suited to the track. It is lightweight, balanced, and has loads of grip! And it has a very good power to weight ratio that is not far off that of the more powerful Porsche. The Porsche though does have a lot of power, and the advantage of AWD.
Around most race tracks they will turn quite comparable times if given equal drivers. Which would win is a race would largely depend on the specific track used and the length of the race. Long straights coming off of tight corners would favor the Porsche, while lots of shorter straights and high speed turns and lots of linked corners would favor the Lotus. A longer race would favor the Lotus as it’s lighter weight would be easier on brakes and tires.
A track like Laguna Seca, where the longest straights come through uphill portions, and one off of the very tight turn 11, would favor the Porsche (though the Lotus would probably post better sector time through the 2-5 infield section, and from the Corkscrew down the hill to Turn 11). Here, the Porsche would probably enjoy an overall 2 second advantage.
But a track like Sears Point would see the Exige claw back that difference and probably enjoy and advantage of at least a second over the 997 Turbo.
As for better red line… red line is not "better." Some cars have higher red lines than others, but this is merely a matter of design and where the engine produces power. Higher is not necessarily better, it’s just higher.
I would think that the Porsche would win. I don’t know the all of the stats, but the Exige isn’t putting out 400+ horsepower or have the all wheel drive traction of the Porsche. On top of that, the Porsche has a bigger displacement engine. While the Lotus has the better weight to power ratio and better redline, I have to give it to the Porsche. 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds for manual trans and 3.2 seconds for tiptronic trans. Top Speed is 193mph.
